PositionProject Manager

Location : Dallas, TX.

Duration : 3 months contract to permanent

 
The Project Manager Role :

• Oversees and manages all aspects of a billable project from initiation through delivery.
• Coordinates groups of consulting teams performing billable product implementation, enhancement or integration projects.
• Serves as liaison between the company and client in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met.
• Tracks and assigns resources, provides status updates, creates metrics and performs overall management of the project timeline and deliverables.
• May recommend additional products/services to the client or perform a direct role in designing customized solution specifications as needed.
• Ensures that all billable projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Must possess (or develop) knowledge of CheckFree  products and services.
• Duties may be performed at the client site.

The following requirements apply to the Staff Project Manager role. Greater experience may be considered for a higher level position.

Education & Essential Knowledge/Skills
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred.
• Requires a minimum of 8 years of directly-related experience including a minimum of 4 years senior level (project ownership) of customer facing project management experience).
• Experience with client-facing software development and/or systems integration projects required.
• Advanced knowledge of project lifecycle methodologies.
• Advanced ability to accurately gather, analyze and interpret data, identify and define problems, and make recommendations for resolution.
• Advanced ability to plan and proactively manage project financials/budgets, report progress as required both externally and internally, and ensure profitability according to assigned targets.
• Crisp communication and presentation skills
• Ability to build relationships with and influence other functional areas
• Well-developed negotiation skills
• Ability to build consensus
• Detail and big picture orientation
• Problem-solving skills with ability to perform root cause analysis
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in parallel
• Solid knowledge of and demonstrated experience in project management processes and resultant methodologies
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
• Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt Certification a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
• Proficient with Project Management Tools including MS Project, ChartPro, and MS Project Office Suite
• Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the development project lifecycle (E.g., design, development, testing, implementation, etc.)
• Extensive experience in meeting planning, facilitation, and public speaking
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 50%
